Our popular impression material Otoform® A softX now shows you that the material has cured by changing color.
This involves a chemical reaction of the color pigment in conjunction with the curing process: when the silicone is pink, the impression can be removed. A fingernail test is no longer necessary!
How does it work?
Addition-curing silicones cure in a hydrosilylation reaction under platinum catalysis. By using a color pigment that simultaneously changes its chromophoric structure and thus its color through chemical reaction, it is possible to indicate the curing of Otoform® A softX in the patient's ear by a color change from purple to pink. This color-cure technology makes ear impressioning even easier and safer.
Optimized ear impression taking material with a shortened setting time of 90 seconds. The material shows by a color change from green to neon yellow that it is cured.
It is addition-curing in a paste-like consistency. Easy and deep impression taking possible beyond the second bend due to excellent flowability. Absolutely thixotropic material which only flows when dispensed out of the cartridge. Otoform® A softX boost is particularly suitable for deep ear impressions, sensitive ear tissue and kids' ears.
The addition-vulcanizing Otoform® Xpand expands gently in the ear during impression taking.
The impression material is advantageous for soft ear tissue, as it extends in the ear proportionally.
In addition, it is also favorable for the fitting of hearing protection and power hearing aid systems. Otoform® Xpand guarantees a high sealing of earmolds. It is pressure building like a putty material, but allows a simple ear impression taking without much effort thanks to the creamy-fluffy consistency and excellent flowability.

After curing, the impression can be easily removed from the ear and has a high tear strength. We recommend Otoform® A soft for pressureless impressions and for CIC devices.

The pink impression material is a soft, smooth-running and non-sticky mousse.
Noticeably elastic, it is pleasant to work with and easy to apply. Due to its special flowability, it is ideally suited for deep ear impressions (CIC).

Otoferm® Protect is ideal for the direct fitting of BTE, splash water plugs (swimming plugs) and hearing protection earmolds. The product is handled like our Otoform® impression materials, has a short curing time and is easy to process. Manufactured earmolds are floatable on the water surface.
